# How to add a sidebar menu promotion

* Under **Admin > Content > Menus**, create a menu. You can add up to three levels, and Primavera allows you to add promotions at any of those levels.
* In the **Customizer**, add a new **promotion block** under **Sidebar menu**:

* We now need to tell the theme which menu item this promotion should display under. Under **menu item**, enter the exact name of the link, e.g. **Shop**, or leave blank to show the promotion at the top level.
* Add an **image**, specify an **image ratio (optional)**, enter a **label** and a **link**. You should now see the promotion appear under the specified menu item.
