# How to add product recommendations

Product recommendations appear as **related products** and **complementary products** on the product template.

To edit and display these product recommendations:

* Install [Shopify Search & Discovery](https://apps.shopify.com/search-and-discovery) app
* Once the app is installed, navigate to **Recommendations**
* Navigate to a product and edit the **complementary products** and/or **related products** sections
* To add the **Related products** section: in the Customizer, navige to the product template and add the Related products section.
* To add complementary products: in the Customizer, under the **Product** section, add the **Complementary products block**.
