# Featured post

* **Blog post:** Select a **blog post** to automatically pull the title, tags, image and excerpt for the post.
* **Layout**:
  * **Style:** Choose between **split** or **banner** layouts to either overlay the text on top of the image or have it displayed side by side. For portrait images, we suggest choosing the split layout, and for landscape images, we suggest choosing the banner layout.
  * **Heading size**: Choose a heading size for the blog post title
  * **Horizontal/vertical alignment:** Position the text content within the banner
  * **Container width**: See [common settings](/common-settings.md)
  * **Container type**: See [common settings](/common-settings.md)
* **Colors**:
  * **Post color scheme:** For example in the above image, the post color scheme is set to scheme 2 (black background)
  * **Background color scheme**: Unless the container type is set to full width, the background of the section will be visible (for example it's white in the above example).&#x20;
